<b>Wide area call for Access Grid Expertise and Volunteers to Assist in

Establishing Emergency Response Network to Combat SARS in Taiwan

</b>Given the rapid spread of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome),

researchers at the National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC)
<br>
are working with the Department of Health of Taiwan, the World Health
<br>
Organization (WHO) of the United Nations, and the Center for Disease
<br>
Control (CDC) of the United States to install access grid technology in
<br>
three hospitals in the north of Taiwan. <br><br>
Our PRAGMA Partners at NCHC
(<a href="http://www.nchc.gov.tw/">http://www.nchc.gov.tw/</a>) are
requesting assistance from the world grid community for volunteers with
expertise in access grid technology to provide additional technical
advice as and when needed. <b>An immediate need</b> is for expertise in
establishing an access grid server in Taiwan. The need is immediate, as
first steps need to be in place <b>by 20 May 2003</b>. <br><br>
