We are pleased to announce the opening of registration for NPACI's
All-Hands<br>
Meeting 2002. The AHM2002 tutorials and core sessions will be held<br>
Wednesday, March 6, through Saturday, March 9, 2002, with satellite
meetings<br>
and workshops scheduled from March 2-12. The All-Hands Meeting will be
held<br>
on the campus of UC San Diego with tutorials at the nearby UCSD
Extension<br>
training center.<br><br>
The AHM2002 theme is "Building the TeraGrid: Architecture,
Middleware, and<br>
Applications." The mission of the meeting is to inform the NPACI
community<br>
on TeraGrid activities, accomplishments, challenges, and opportunities
for<br>
collaboration. Anyone is eligible to attend, including representatives
from<br>
the Alliance, PSC, and the corporate community.<br><br>
The deadline for registration and hotel reservations is February 8,
2002.<br>

This year, there is a $50 registration<br>
fee for all attendees. The Web site also has hotel information.<br><br>
Tutorial space will be assigned on a first come, first served basis,
so<br>
register early if you are interested in these hands-on
sessions.<br><br>
Because of the meeting's locations, it is strongly recommended that
you<br>
reserve your room at the Radisson Hotel La Jolla prior to the February
8,<br>
2001, deadline to ensure the best rates. There are enough rooms at
the<br>
Radisson for all attendees, and there will be no shuttle service from
any<br>
other hotel. Transportation will only be to and from AHM2002 locations.

Wednesday will feature ten half-day tutorials and a day-long meeting for
the<br>
NPACI Executive Committee. A Digital Government session will be convened
at<br>
SDSC on Wednesday afternoon, and the core of the AHM2002 meeting will
be<br>
Thursday and Friday, with EOT Day slated for Saturday. A detailed agenda
is<br>

In addition, AHM2002 boasts a 10-day schedule of satellite meetings
and<br>
workshops, starting with the 7th annual Maria Goeppert-Mayer Symposium
on<br>
March 2, an Access Grid Tutorial and Technical Retreat March 3-5, and
an<br>
Advanced Networking-Minority Serving Institution clusters workshop
March<br>
