<p><font face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">A talk on how sound is used by filmmakers to enhance the story they are telling and how that sound can be accurately translated among larger and smaller environments.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">John Dahl is the Certification and Operations Manager for the Engineering Department at Lucasfilm THX and is their principal technical trainer. Turning his back on a formal education in Geology, he has spent the last 28 years in the audio business. Starting in retail sales and management he moved to factory sales then product design, development and manufacturing followed by eight years as an audio industry consultant, Sierra wilderness guide and sailboat delivery skipper. He retreated into full time work with Lucasfilm in 1997.</font></p>
