that. That's the way we like to have conversations and solve problems. I
little polite give and take could probably have worked things out.<br>

Instead, you made no reply at all, but sent off a name-calling flame to
everyone.<br>

That's not the way to solve problems.<br>

With regard to the Octanes - At the tutorial, and in subsequent
conversations, we have encouraged people to use whatever machines they
had available to run mbone tools to test out the network audio and video
until they had procured their gear. That encouragement and suggestion
still stands, as does our desire to have standard gear at all AG sites.
Without standard gear, it will be difficult, not impossible, but
difficult, to develop standard sets of software and applications for
Accesss Grid Nodes and to develop standard operational procedures.<br>

So here's a reality check on the equipment status here. <br>
Even if these machines ever do get purchased, <br>
it will probablly be at the last second. <br>
Thus, it would be nice to have an Octane version <br>
working so ACCESS-DC can participate in the 'little cruislets'. <br>
The Octane's could then be used as a hardware backup system here. <br>
I cannot imagine getting permission for 2 systems. <br>

Additionally, it would be advantageous, for this <br>
rigid system to incorporate a bit of flexibility and humility. <br>
