[AG-TECH] AG 3.0.2 rpm installation writing to /etc/AccessGrid3 instead of .Accessgrid3

I tried to store an updated configuration on a Fedora core 6 system with
the RPM package of AG 3.0.2 and it keeps trying to store the prefs into
the global /etc config directory (which it does not have write access
to) instead of the local .Accessgrid3 directory.

Why would it do that? Now I could fix the problem by giving it write access to /etc/AccessGrid3
that definitely is not the right solution.

Suggestions?
