GlobusWORLD
"The Globus Toolkit(TM) - The Open Source for Grid Computing"
http://www.globusworld.org

Hilton San Diego Resort
San Diego, California USA
January 13 - 17, 2003

Over the past few years the grass-roots success of the Globus Project
"Retreats" has permeated the academic, research, vendor and corporate user
spheres to create a universal recognition of the significance of the Globus
Toolkit as the open source solution for Grid Computing. Globus Retreats
have featured hands-on training, presentations of future plans, and
experiential talks by Globus users, developers, and partners, as well as
social events to help build the Globus community. The most recent Globus
workshop in January 2002 drew 250 people from around the world to Chicago
to learn how to incorporate Globus into their Grid efforts.

Given the accelerating demand for more intensive information, training and
discussion on Globus and Grid Computing, the Globus Project created
GlobusWorld to take place in 2003, from 13-17 January at the San Diego
Hilton Resort. GlobusWorld will provide a forum for the discussion and
presentation of current user experiences, opportunities and future
directions for the Globus Toolkit and Grids, and practical training for
hands-on Globus Toolkit users.

The GlobusWorld conference will feature three tracks of distinguished
invited speakers, lecturers, interactive panels, and forward-looking
roundtables:

-- Track 1 - Enterprise Planning for Grids
-- Track 2 - Architecting Grids with Globus
-- Track 3 - Developing and Administering Globus.

Unique to GlobusWorld, the "Enterprise Planning" track will offer strategic
perspectives on Grids and Globus to open and facilitate discussions for
enterprise planning and executive decision-making.

In addition to 2.5 days of conference, GlobusWorld will offer participants
an opportunity to delve more deeply into key topic areas by attending one
of six focused Tutorials immediately preceding the conference, or by
participating in any of three intensive hands-on Workshops during the last
two days.
