The Access Grid provides a completely synchronous collaborative environment. This talk will describe how Voyager II will provide asynchronous collaboration. The presentation will be based on two use cases, recording and playing back lectures, webcasts, and the like. Also discussed will be the requirements for doing sociological research in intermodal communication, which is being undertaken by the Center for Learning and Multimodal Communication at the University of Chicago. The presentation will conclude with remarks concerning the implementation schedule and status of the Voyager II project.
