Todd

Just for your information, but I "regularly" see the problem of the AG software "crashing" silently (Fedora 8). IE, It might take up to 5 false starts, before the Venue Client actually starts, though this appears to occur less than it use to.

I haven't been able to find out what the issue is, as I haven't had the time to investigate properly. I will add this to the list.... (My feeling it this it is a python http issue)

Cheers,
Jason.

Subject: [AG-DEV] AG3.2b Issues/Questions

Version AG3.2b
Platform Fedora 9 - KDE4

I'm having a couple of issues with AG3.2b and wanted to send out a note for clarifications/advice before filing a bug (it may be a configuration issue on my end).

To launch AG I've been using a panel icon created in KDE4. I haven't been launching in debug mode typically - but am starting to.

First issue, about 1 in 10 or so times the launch fails silently.
Splash appears, everything seems to be going fine - then nothing. No Venueclient appears. Second and subsequent attempts succeed.

VenueClient.log (attached) is quite short - ending with a line indicating that the NodeService is starting.

Second issue is, there doesn't seem to be any logs being created other than the VenueClient.log. AudioService, VideoService, VideoProducerService either don't exist or haven't been touched in months. The dates seem to coincide w/ AG3.2b upgrade - is this true??
Does the beta specifically stop writing to the additional logs or is this a bug?

Wanted to see if there was any advice on how I could narrow down these issues before submitting bugs.

Cheers,

Todd
